A Publicly Available National Rating System for ALL Officers, Both Good and Bad

As Sheriff of Pinellas County, Sheriff McLynas will launch a Law Enforcement Office rating Website where all citizens can rank and rate the experiences they have had with their local police and deputies. It will allow a “zero=Horrible” rating as well as have a place where people can leave their comments, both good and bad, about any officer. This will allow the citizens of any community to keep tabs on who is a good cop and who is a bad cop in their area and allow them to place much needed pressure on the local police Chiefs and Sheriffs to keep their agencies free from officers that do not need to be wearing a gun and a badge. Additionally, this same Website will allow those officers that are a blessing to their communities to receive the much needed and deserved attention for serving their communities with honor. Hopefully this will assist all local agencies to promote good cops to positions of leadership and help terminate bad cops and keep them from being hired at any other agencies.
